Barbeque/Braii red wine 2.0
Wine tipsPosted by Per-Olof Diderot Mon, April 16, 2012 20:01:09Finally the barbecue season is on its way and also the intensive search for good red barbecue wine. What a sense of freedom to feel the heat from the glowing charcoals, have barbecue tool in one hand and a good glass of red in the other one.
The Game Reserve 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon from Graham Beck for 11 EurosBig South African producer Graham Beck has invested heavily in increasing the quality. I personally feel that the last two years of releases shows that they are absolutely on the right track to deliver "good value for money" wines. They have also chosen to make several good initiatives in the environmental field. Among other things, they established a 3 700 acres of game reserve near their winery in Robertson. By purchasing this wine you will be supporting this great effort.
The wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and has a nice fruity nose. The taste is very rich with complex flavours of pepper, sweet blackberry and black currant. Another South African wine that turns out to be able to balance the natural fruitiness in a pleasurable way. Perfect for grilled beef and 2 good 2 not order directly.
